“Where the River Meets the Sea” (2015) Mixed media on canvas, 14 X 14 in. All paintings are made with the finest quality materials. Original works of art include a handwritten explanation of the painting, the story behind making it and the message contained within the art. “Where The River Meets The Sea” is inspired by my favorite place in the Olympic National Forest where the glacial waters run from Mount Anderson to follow the most beautiful winding river into the Salish Sea. The abstract image represents a merging. Alongside the river, on the shores of the sea, I am always reminded to let go and simply be. Witnessing the transformation from snow to ice, river to sea, I reminded that all things have their own rhythm and course. This image reflects those thoughts.
